Excellency Ministers,
Ambassadors and Head of Delegations,
Distinguished participants,
Ladies and Gentlemen.

It is a great pleasure to be in beautiful Bucharest.

Thailand is very serious about Connect 2030 agenda and let me share with you what we have done toward achieving that goals.

For mobile broadband, Thailand has imposed coverage obligations on licensees. We now have 98.8% of population covered by at least 3G with the price under 2% of monthly GNI per capita.

Regarding fixed broadband we have manage to have all villages, near and far hooked up under the banner of Net Pracharat. We are indeed connect the unconnected.

Along with these infrastructures developments we did provide trainings to improve the digital skill via public internet centers in most rural areas across the kingdom.

And for certain specific field such as health care we are installing Tele and Digital into the field. We understand that many of those patient namely the bedridden,  hospital visit would be such a burden to the family. We want to connect them to a primary care provider so some of the issue could be solved on line.

We have also promoted  the 5G use in “smart hospital” at Siriraj, one of our proudest Medical school where doctors and nurses developed their own Artificial Intelligence platform.

Thailand has always supported ITU and has been very happy being the home  office of Asian Pacific Chapter of ITU.

With all this backgrounds, Thailand is aiming for the re-election as an ITU council member for RegionE.

We need your supports.

We are also looking at hosting the next WTDC for 2025. The discussion with ITU is ongoing.

In closing, I like to emphasize the commitment Thailand has toward Connect 2030 agenda and we want to continue our work as ITU councillor.

Thank you for such an opportunity to be here.
